In 1994, from the ashes of LEVIAL, OUIJA was born, with the following formation Baret (bass), Dany (drums), Map (guitar), Ferriz (keyboards) and Midgard (vocals), the band needed another way to communicate their feelings and the different changes about the concept of his music at that time. After a couple of years of rehearsals in 1996 their first official demo was recorded, which came into the hands of Repulse Record who decided to sign them immediately to release their work "Riding into the funeral paths" in 1997.

With this work they reached the status of underground cult band both in Spain and abroad, being in their country one of the pioneer bands of state Black Metal made with great quality and international projection. With the release of this work, the band also did many concerts throughout its national geography, achieving an innumerable legion of followers.

In the year 2000 the band recorded its second album, with many changes from the original line-up…after having already recorded the second work, the band dissolved and this album was not released.

After a decade of silence, the band returns to the fray with new material and stronger than ever, merging their forces once again Map founding guitar and brain of the compositions of the band plus Midgard vocalist of the initial formation; they are also joined in this new stage by three members of Spellcraft; Fulgur (drums), Aldromk (bass) and Murcilag (guitar) with which the formation is totally completed. In the fall of 2010 the band began to record a mini-CD which was released by the Spanish company Xtreem Music.

The highly anticipated return of OUIJA was in December 2010 in the form of a mini CD with 4 new songs entitled "Adversary", recorded at Moontower Studios by Javi Bastard and then mastered at the famous Unisound Studios in Sweden by Dan Swanö.

In 2013 the band releases its second full-length “Ave Voluptatis Carnis”, which makes a great impression both on the national scene and beyond its borders.

After 8 years of inactivity Map and Midgard join forces again with three new members JM101 on guitar, Labelua on drums, and Shogoth on bass.

At the beginning of 2021, an EP made up of three songs is recorded, his last work, to date "Selenophile Impia", which was recorded at the Nomad Studio and mastered by Magnus Andersson at the Endarker Studio.

Black metal with an old flavor but with its own and current sound at the same time; aged for many years in the depths of the avern…resulting in an impressive recording that shows a more intense and darker side of OUIJA while maintaining those incisor melodies and great structures, that will undoubtedly please not only lifelong fans of OUIJA the band, but to any lover of high quality Black Metal!!
